The SS Lane Victory has many needs to keep her ‘steaming'. Material and/or monetary donations will help us keep the S.S. Lane Victory in tip-top condition so she can continue serving as a memorial to all merchant mariners and armed-guardsmen lost as well as educating future generations about the importance of the U.S. merchant marine.
The United States Merchant Marine Veterans of World War II (USMMVWWII) is a non profit tax exempt 501-C-3 Corporation. Fed I.D. No. 33-0083915, California Charitable Trust No. 74803

These donations will be acknowledged and are deeply appreciated by the hard working crew, who maintain their Coast Guard licenses/papers and the ship. If not already a member of the USMMVWWII, consider joining up or becoming a volunteer crewmember as another way to support the organization.
The S.S. Lane Victory Endowment Fund is for the perpetuation of the objectives of the US MMV WW II in maintaining the S.S. Lane Victory as a memorial to merchant mariners and Navy Armed Guard for the benefit of the public at large. It is funded exclusively by gifts from members and from the public, both individuals and corporate entities. Funds are maintained separately from the US MMV WW II Corporation’s general account and are invested in interest bearing accounts. Earnings from the endowment fund are transferred to the corporation’s general fund annually. Unless specified by the donor, or until a unanimous vote of the board decides otherwise, the principal of the endowment funds remains intact in the fund bank account or investment. A committee appointed by the board administers the fund. All checks drawn on the fund account require the signature of one committee remember as well as the signature of the corporate treasurer, or in his/her absence, the president. The committee has the duty to develop plans for dissemination of information about the endowment fund and the solicitation of donations.
