The Bosons Locker is located in the Forepeak. It is where line, cable, shackles, and all material and parts are stored for the maintenance and repair of all rigging and deck gear, such as winches, booms, masts, life boat davits, etc. The Bosons Locker on the Lane Victory is also used as a classroom for teaching wire rope and line splicing techniques. The ship as a whole is used for training purposes by many outside groups, including Fire, Police, and Coast Guard, who use it for activities such as canine anti-drug training, bomb detection, underwater instruction, boarding, and many other activities as well. The Lane Victory is open to all groups for training purposes. |
