Your event on the Lane ...

In addition to being the ideal movie set, the S.S. Lane Victory is excited and anxious to host your special event!  We have experience hosting weddings, reunions, business meetings, classes, fund raising events, corporate retreats, corporate parties and dinners, as well as personal / family events.

We can help, or we can just get out of the way, you decide how involved we are.   We can provide references to event coordinators, caterers, hosts, and entertainment.

Our Main Museum is available for meetings, conferences, receptions and parties.  The museum or the top of a hold (outside) can be configured with multiple combinations of tables and chairs while featuring a PA system and large screen plasma display with dvd player for use with your event.  

All areas areas of the ship open to the general public can also be made available for your event.  A favorite of many is out forward and afte holds for outdoor and under the stars experiences.  The harbor makes an excellent backdrop for any event both during the day and with the lights at night.


The advantages of using the Lane Victory for your event ...

  • Room for events exceeding 150 attendees. 
  • For events after 4:00 pm the ship is closed to the public making your event completely private.
  • For major events such as weddings, reunions, fund raising, etc, the ship will be closed regardless of the time of day.
  • All non-secured areas of the ship are available to your attendees for self guided tours.
  • Docents are provided for major events and can be arranged for any event.  Docents not only offer informed tours of the ship, but provide escorted access to secured areas of the ship such as the engine room, command bridge, etc.
  • The ship's cranes are available for the loading and unloading for equipment as needed.
  • The ship has audio visual equipment which is made available for your event (you don't need to supply your own).
  • In most cases, you may decorate the ship as fits your event.
  • Chairs and tables are available (you will likely wish to supply your own table cloths).
  • We have experience, and will work with you on catering for your event, if you wish.
  • We have experience, and will work with you on liquior permits and securing bartenders.
  • We have parking for more than 40 vehicles and the harbor department will make arrangement for more as needed.
  • For large events, the entire parking area of berth 49 can be arranged with the Harbor Department.
  • We provide full service restrooms in the main museum and in the 'house' which will accomodate up to 150 attendees.

 

Weddings or Wedding Receptions:

  • There is a $2500 flat fee, which allows for up to 150 people.
  • And additional charge of $12.00 per person will be assessed after the first 150.
  • The ship will be closed to the public for the duration of your event.
  • A cabin will be provided for the Bride and one for the Groom for their preparation.
  • We provide 6 foot tables and chairs, however you are welcome to bring aboard rental furnishings as well.

 

Reunions:

  • There is a $16.50 per person fee for reunions.
  • The ship will be closed to the public for the duration of your event.

 

Business Meetings:

  • There is a $12 per person fee for Business Meetings.
  • You may select an area of the ship for your meeting (Main Museum, Fantail, under netting on one of  the holds).
  • Use of our main museum is common for most Business Meetings.

 

Fund-Raising Events

  • Typically the fees for Fund-raising events are negotiated as a flat fee for the rental, plus dumpster fees (if applicable).
  • We provide a unique location, theme, and environment for your fund raising events (dinners, Vegas Night, Bingo, Silent Auctions, etc.).
  • The entire ship will be close for the duration for you event.

 

Corporate and Private Classes

  • Corporate retreat $12.00 per person
  • You may select an area of the ship for your meeting (Main Museum, Fantail, under netting on one of  the holds).
  • Use of our main museum is common for most Business Meetings.

 

Corporate Parties/Dinners

  • Flat fee $1200 (up to 150 guests)
  • Use of our main museum is common for most Corporate Paties but other arrangements can be made.

 

Personal/Family Events (Sweet 16 parties, Grad Party Dances, Birthdays, Themed events):

  • A flat fee of $1000 and 12.00 per additional attendee is required.
  • Depending on the event, additional security may be requested by ship's staff
  • The ship will be closed to the public during your entire event.

 

Considerations for your event ...

  • While the ship provides its own security for the protection of  the ship, you may be asked to provide your own security (depending on the number of attendees to your event).
  • For groups larger than 150, we need to work with you on additional portable restrooms that will be placed dockside.
  • Health Department and Coast Guard rules/regulations do not allow us to make the ship's galley available to the public, however, many options are available to you including catering, bringing your own food and drink, and in some cases BBQs can be set up on deck.  Talk with our experienced event staff.
